Healthy Eating Tip #1- Eat Breakfast!

Here's a question I ask all my clients:

Did you eat breakfast??

9 times out of 10, the answer is no. And I always tell my clients - that's the wrong thing to do!!!

In order to keep your motors reving and maintain good health to keep up with the fast pace of busy lifestyles - you've go to - EAT BREAKFAST!!

Eating breakfast can prevent weight gain, give you energy and rev up your metabolism.

How many times have you skipped breakfast and by the middle of the afternoon you're feeling sluggish and rundown....so what do you do?

Probably, like most of us, you head for the sugary and fatty foods. BIG mistake. Doing so adds more calories and fat to your day than having the healthy breakfast would!! Plus, you're metabolism is slowing, so you're burning fewer calories throughout the day. A double wammy!!

So, please- Tip #1 - East Breakfast...a healthy one.

It should contain at least five grams of fiber, a minimum of 10 grams of protein, and no more than 15 grams of fat.

The fiber will help you feel full and the protein kick-starts your metabolism as well as helping you to feel full longer by slowing the movement of food through the intestine.

It's important to get both in your morning meal.

Crunched for time? Nothing is better than a properly balanced shake or bar. If you have more time, have eggs, whole grain waffles, or oatmeal. Just remember to follow the guidelines I mentioned before.

Begin following this breakfast tip - and you'll see your energy soaring. But remember, you also need to set yourself as a priority and get those workouts in!!
